Top Places to Visit in Southern US

Posted by admin on May 21, 2017 in Airline Travel | Comments Off on Top Places to Visit in Southern US

The Southern US is totally on the list of top ten places to fall in love with on Forbes, if not then it will be on your hotlist for sure! From the soul food to rhythms and blues, the south is an enthralling vacation destination and not exactly what is shown in the movies. Most people that visit the south opt for a road trip for a more daring experience, where you are bared to the beauty of the road as well as where you are headed to.

The south in the general is a confluence of North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas leaving out the Deep South as well as Florida and Texas because honestly they both need their separate guides.

  1. Savannah, Georgia

This town is actually the savannah of the state of Georgia, it is perky with parks, squares and historic centers. The energetic population of Savannah in addition to the enthusiastic tourists love the ambiance, especially the way parades and festivals celebrated in this little town. The St Patrick’s festivals is one of the largest in the US. However, the unforgiving open liquor houses the specialty of this town where you can walk around having a drink in your hand.

  1. Charleston, North Carolina

Now, Charleston is a great town and not too far from Savannah. The colorful cobblestone street of Charleston lined with antebellum condos were a turning point in architecture something similar to the Art Deco houses of Florida. They are a sight for sore eyes while, the Historic District with Greek influences is a national landmark. The food is lip-smacking.

  1. New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans, Nolan or NOLA whatever your people call it, is one of the most exotic towns of the artful south. The town is filled with hillbilly activities and awesome places that are a must visit at least once in life. Starting with the stunning French Quarters that belong to the first quarter of the last century, a prime historical point of the metropolis. The awe-struck Mardi Gras festivals are evidence enough of the party life of New Orleans but it’s not just that to it also inhabits some great voodoo museums, House of Blues and some lavish restaurants.

  1. Helen, Georgia

Another city carrying the southern charm in the air. It is a famous saying in Helen that if you don’t have money to fly to Munich, Helen is the low-key alternate. Strolling down the cities feel like you are in some Uber German destination. The town is the perfect specimen of quaint manner of construction that are Tudor style, half-timbered houses and mountains to compliment the townscape as well as the picturesque beauty of the town.

Though these are some of the small towns of the general southern, they all have their own unique spell that is mesmerizing. Which is why these are a must visit for a low-key short southern adventure trip. These towns are that not that far apart from each other while, the road scenery is just an additional perk.
